Coming this Fall CAT Ski Clinics & Races

The 2007 Cat ski season has begun. We have added a few more races and added a some kid races. So bring the whole family and have a great time keeping fit. Details for each event is below the events table.

Minocqua, Winter Park Cat Ski Clinics/Demos

CAT-Ski Clinics & Races Come to Minocqua Winter Park 

If you like to cross-country ski and want a never-ending ski season, CAT-Skiing may be for you. Join Dale Niggemann, inventor of the Classic All Terrain (CAT)Ski, at Minocqua Winter Park on Saturday, October 20th to learn more about CAT-Skis, register for a clinic, take a ski tour, or enter a race.  

CAT-Ski clinics begin at 9:00am. At 11:00am there will be a Kid’s Race, Brat Fry, and a chance to meet Dale. Beginning at noon CAT skiers can enter a short or a long race or take a ski tour. Pre-registration for the clinics is $15/ person ($20 on day of event) and includes race/tour registration. For just the race/tour, pre-registration is $10/ person ( $15 on day of event). Call 1-800-380-8412 or email sales@planetxc.com to reserve a pair of CAT-skis, boots, and poles. 

As you hit your favorite Minocqua Winter Park trail on a pair of CAT-Skis, know that you are contributing to the spread of a very exciting and positive message: No Snow? No Worries!

CAT Ski World Championship

November 4th, 2007

Stevens Point, Wisconsin

No need to fly to Europe or do endless qualifing races. All you need to do for this World Championships is fill out an entry form and you are ready to go. So, why not do the first ever CAT ski world championships and see how you are progressing. All abilites are welcomed, even if you have nevered CAT skied before. If you don’t have CAT skis you may call and reserve a pair.

The Cat ski season has begun. This year we will be doing a series of clinics and races. The Clinics will be in the morning and the race/tours will follow the Clinics.

CAT ski Beginner Clinic (Focus is on classical technique)

  • Try out the Classical All Terrain Roller CAT ski
  • Learn how to cross country ski with good technique in less than one hour.
  • Easy to use for all abilities, if you can walk you can CAT ski.
  • You will learn go down hills safely and easily.
  • Equipment provided. Please call or email to reserve equipment. If you have your own equipment such as boots, poles or CAT skis please bring them.

Advanced Clinic (Focus is on classical technique)

  • We will make you faster and more efficient with essentially one simple drill and we can prove it.
  • We will look how maintaining momentum is crucial in ski technique.
  • You will learn several workouts that will teach you how to ski faster
  • Skate skier improve by incorporating classical skiing in their training.
  • Do not miss your chance to improve your skiing from 5-15%.

Note: Do not forget your RUNNING SHOES so you can learn the latest and greatest drills on core conditioning and strengthening ski specific muscles.

Terrain: Gently rolling terrain with road sand, preserve's trails, and limestone praire paths.
